Ignition Switch Lock Cylinder: Service and Repair

Steering Lock Housing and Lock Cylinder, Removing and Installing

Removing

-

Remove steering wheel and steering column switches. 

-

Remove trim screws -2-.

-

Remove trim molding -1-.

-

Remove instrument cluster mounting screws (arrows).

-

Carefully pull instrument cluster from instrument panel.

-

Disconnect electrical connectors and remove instrument cluster.

-

Remove ignition and starter switch connector.

-

Remove bowden cable cover for shift lock.

-

Using a screwdriver, pry off bowden cable mounting clips.

-

Unhook bowden cable.

-

Remove Torx (T30) screw (arrow).

Tightening torque: 7 Nm (62 in lb)

-

Remove steering column mounting bolts (arrows).
