- Remove lower suspension strut mounting bolt (arrow).

- Remove transverse link from wheel bearing housing (arrow).
- Swivel wheel bearing housing downward.
- Remove drive axle.

Installing

- Install drive axle in wheel hub and loosely fasten onto flange.
- Connect transverse link to wheel bearing housing.
- Press wheel bearing housing downward, install lower mounting bolt for suspension strut, and fasten loosely.
- Install wheel bolts in wheel hub and hold wheel hub with tire iron to prevent turning.
- Tighten drive axle-to-flange bolts.
- Install cover for fuel tank and/or heat shield.
- Install brake disc and brake caliper.
- Press ABS wheel speed sensor into wheel bearing housing to stop.
- Install wheel.
- Install new wheel hub/drive axle mounting bolt and tighten to specified torque with vehicle resting on wheels.
- Tighten bolts between strut and wheel bearing housing.
