A If relay does not operate:

-

Check activation of secondary air injection pump relay -J299-

-

Check voltage supply for secondary air injection pump relay -J299-

B If relay operates, but Secondary Air Injection Pump Motor -V101- does not run:

-

Check voltage supply for secondary air injection pump motor - V101-

Voltage supply for Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Relay -J299-

-

Turn off ignition.

-

Remove Secondary Air Injection (AIR) Pump Relay -1-.

-

Connect multimeter to following location (left relay carrier) to read voltage:

Relay carrier under the cover on left 

Measure to

splash wall
Terminal

1

Engine Ground (GND)

NOTE:  The relay locations are specified on the relay carrier.

-

Specification: Battery Voltage

If specified value is not obtained:

-

Perform following tests, specified by below:
