Radiator Cooling Fan Control Module: Locations

A/C System Control And Regulation Components In Engine Compartment And Rear Body

NOTE:

-

Upon completion of any A/C system repairs, always check and erase the Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) memory (scan tool function 02), perform
basic setting (function 04) and code the A/C control head -E87- (function 07).

All components marked with an asterisk (*) are activated during output Diagnostic Test Mode (DTM) (function 03).

Note different coding possibilities for A/C control head -E87-.

Electrical testing can be performed on all components marked with a double asterisk (**).

Air extraction vents
-

Sealing flaps in vent must move freely and close automatically.

NOTE:  To ensure proper ventilation of the passenger compartment, the air ducts leading through the luggage compartment trim and to the two
extraction vents (left and right under the bumper) must not be obstructed.

Coolant Fan Control (FC) Module -J293- *

Also energizes A/C clutch clutch -N25-.

-

The function of -J293 and vehicle wiring layout will vary depending on whether vehicle is equipped with A/C pressure switch -F129 or high
pressure sensor - G65-.

Outside air temperature sensor -G17-**

Remove bumper cover.

-

Disconnect electrical connection.

-

Unclip sensor and remove.

Condenser

CAUTION:  Condenser must only be removed after refrigerant has been discharged.

A/C refrigerant system identification label

Indicates type of refrigerant used (R-134a) and system (filling) capacity.
