Wheel Bearing: Service and Repair
Rear

Overview 

1 - Phillips - head screw 
2 - Brake disc 
3 - Protective cap

Replace each time after removing

Cap must be replaced to ensure proper sealing. This is important for optimum function and long service life

4 - Self - locking 12 - point nut
-

Tighten to 220 Nm

Replace each time after removing

5 - Wheel hub with wheel bearings
-

The wheel bearing and wheel hub are installed together in a housing.

-

This wheel bearing/hub unit is maintenance and adjustment free. Adjusting and servicing is not possible! 

6 - Axle beam 
7 - Brake caliper

Servicing; Refer to Brakes and traction control

8 - Stub axle
-

Straightening operations are not permitted

-

Recutting thread is not permitted
