To loosen ribbed belt, turn tensioning element in direction of arrow.

Remove ribbed belt.

Notes:  The tensioning element can be held in position by inserting a punch (4.5 mm diameter, approximately 55 mm long), or by using conrod
support 3090.

Installing ribbed belt 

Notes:  Before fitting the ribbed belt ensure that all ancillary (generator, air conditioner compressor, power steering pump) are properly secured.

Fit ribbed belt.

Loosen tensioning element for ribbed belt. Pull out punch or conrod support 3090 (arrows).

Start engine and check that belt runs properly.

Notes:  Engines with an air conditioner compressor are fitted with a double ribbed belt.

Power steering pump, lower position 

Special tools and equipment
