Clamp suction hose between hydraulic fluid reservoir and power steering pump using special tool - 3094 -.

-

Open spring clip - 3 - and pull off suction hose.

-

Unbolt expansion hose - 4 -.

Notes:  Vehicles with pressure switch: first unplug connector and unscrew pressure switch.

Unbolt power steering pump from bracket (bolts - 1 - and - 2 -).

Note the following important points when installing: 
Tightening torques; Refer to Specifications

Ensure correct routing of ribbed belt

Notes: 
-

Pumps supplied as replacement parts are not filled with fluid. For this reason, the pump must be filled with G 002 000 hydraulic fluid and
rotated by hand before installation. The pump may otherwise be damaged or noisy during operation.

There should not be any paint on the contact surfaces or threads on either side of the power steering pump.

-

Do not reuse drained hydraulic fluid.

-

Replace O - rings.

-

Fit spring clip and suction hose as shown in the illustration. 

-

Longitudinal mark - A - on suction hose must line up with seam on pump. 

-

Fit spring clip no further than transverse mark - B -.
