Pulling wheel bearing/wheel hub unit onto stub axle

Install wheel bearing/wheel hub unit as far as possible onto stub axle.

Attach special tool 3420 and pull wheel bearing/wheel hub unit on onto stop.

-

Remove special tool 3420.

-

Use new 12 - point nut and tighten to 220 Nm. 

Driving in protective cap 

Notes:

Always replace damaged (dented) caps.

Damaged (dented) caps allow ingress of moisture, therefore always use the tool illustrated.

Further installation is performed in reverse order.
Tightening torques:
Brake caliper to rear axle 65 Nm (48 ft. lbs.)
