Fuel Injector: Removal and Replacement

Fuel Injectors, Removing And Installing

-

Remove engine cover panel -1- -arrows-.

-

Disconnect wiring and unplug connectors for the following components:

-

Intake air temperature (IAT) sensor -G42-

-

camshaft position (CMP) sensor -G40-

-

Throttle valve control module -J338-

WARNING:  Fuel system is under pressure. Before opening the system place a cloth around the connection. Then release pressure by
carefully loosening the connection.

Press release catches and disconnect fuel supply line -1- and fuel return line -2.

-

Disconnect vacuum hose from fuel pressure regulator -arrow-.
