Wiring diagram
Test Conditions
-
Respective fuses must be OK
-
Battery voltage must be at least 11.5 V.
-
All electrical consumers such as, for example, lights and rear window defroster must be switched off.
-
The parking brake must be applied, otherwise the daytime running lights are switched on.
-
The Ground (GND) connections to transmission must be OK.
-
Selector lever must be in "P" position.
-
Ignition switched off.
Test Sequence
-
Disconnect 8-pin connector - B -.
-
Observe safety precautions.
-
Check harness connector for contact corrosion and ingress of water.
-
If harness connector is not OK:
-
Repair the problem.
-
Erase DTC memory of TCM. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Scan Tool Testing and
Procedures/Diagnostic Mode 04 - Erase DTC Memory
-
Generate readiness code. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles
and Readiness Codes/Generate Readiness Code
If harness connector is OK:
-
Check resistance of Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-.
-
Check Sensor Resistance
-
Measure resistance of Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93- between terminals 1+2 on connector to sensor:
ATF-Temperature
Specified value
approx. -30 degrees C
37.0 to 51.0 K Ohms
approx. 10 degrees C
5.0 to 8.0 K Ohms
approx. 25 degrees C
3.0 to 5.0 K Ohms
approx. 110 degrees C
230.0 to 265.0 Ohms
approx. 145 degrees C
100.0 to 120.0 Ohms
If one of the specified values is not attained:
-
Replace Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor -G93-.
-
Erase DTC memory of TCM. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Monitors, Trips, Drive
Cycles and Readiness Codes/Generate Readiness Code
-
Generate readiness code. See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Monitors, Trips, Drive Cycles
and Readiness Codes/Generate Readiness Code
If the specified values are achieved:
-
Check wiring to TCM according to wiring diagram.
