ATF Screen, Removing and Installing

ATF screen, removing and installing, 09G, 6 Speed A/T 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required 

^

V.A.G 1331 Torque wrench

Note:  
^

Be familiar with the rules for cleanliness when working on the automatic transmission.

^

General repair instructions.

Removing 

-

Remove oil pan.

-

Unscrew bolts for ATF screen (arrows).

-

Remove ATF screen -A- from valve body.

Installing 

-

Apply a thin coating of ATF to seals around suction collar of ATF screen (rear side). 

Note:  If the seals on the rear side of the ATF screen to the valve body are damaged or are no longer properly secured at the ATF screen, the ATF
screen must be replaced.
