Transmission Control Module, Removing And Installing

Component location: The control module is located in the center plenum chamber, near ECM.

Removing

-

Open hood.

-

Pry off both covers - 3 - using a screwdriver.

-

Wiper arm, removing

-

Remove rubber seal -1 - for plenum chamber cover.

-

Remove plenum chamber cover - 2 - and disconnect washer fluid line.

-

Disconnect washer nozzle heating electrical connectors.

-

Switch ignition on.

-

Activate windshield wipers and switch ignition off when both wiper linkage points - a - point towards right.

NOTE:
-

This step is necessary to obtain better access to the TCM.

-

Harness connector of Transmission Control Module (TCM) may only be disconnected or connected 30 seconds after ignition is switched off.
