Cellular Phone Transceiver: Service and Repair

Telephone Transceiver

Telephone Transceiver (R36) is located in the electronics box under left front seat

-

If control module is replaced, select "Replacement" function for appropriate control module in "Guided Fault-Finding" routine. 

Use the Vehicle Diagnosis, Testing and Information System (VAS 5051) to do so.

Turn off all electrical components.

-

Remove ignition key.

Removing

-

Remove left front seat 

-

Cut into floor cover at marking - arrows - and fold it back.

-

Unclip cover - 1 - on electronics box - 4  - and remove it upward.

-

Remove Bluetooth Antenna (R152) -  3 - from Telephone Transceiver (R36) -  2 -.

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 5 - on Telephone Transceiver (R36) - 2 -.

-

Raise Telephone Transceiver (R36) -  2 - upward out of electronics box - 4 -.
