Seat Pan Cover And Padding, Removing And Installing

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Removing

CAUTION:

-

Observe safety precautions for work on airbags.

-

Before handling airbag units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "electrostatically discharge". This can
be done by touching door striker, for example

-

Remove backrest:
-

Mechanically adjustable front seat.

-

Electrically adjustable front seat.

-

Remove retaining bracket:
-

Mechanically adjustable front seat.

-

Electrically adjustable front seat.

-

Disengage clamping strips - 1 - in front and side area from hooks - 3 - and spring clips - 2 -.

-

Do not damage slits - arrows - in retaining strips when doing so.

-

Ensure spring clips - 2 - remain on seat pan - 4 -.

-

If this is not the case, place spring clips on seat pan before installing cover.
