Front Brake Pads

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹›  Torque wrench (V.A.G 1331)

‹›  Torque wrench (V.A.G 1410)

‹›  Torque wrench (V.A.G 1332)

‹›  Brake pedal actuator (V.A.G 1869/2)

‹›  Piston resetting tool (T10145)

Removing

‹› When removing, mark brake pads that will be used again. Install in the same position, otherwise braking effect will be uneven!

‹› Observe the direction of rotation when installing brake disc -arrow on brake disc- and installed location -left or right-

Raise vehicle.

Remove wheels.

-

Using screwdriver, pry off brake pad retaining spring from brake caliper housing and remove.

Loosen bolt - 1 - 4 Nm only to remove brake disc.

Disconnect brake pad wear indicator connector - 1 -.
