Press ball joint out of wheel bearing housing.

CAUTION!
When pressing off, the ball joint loosens itself from the wheel bearing housing abruptly - risk of accident!

Installing

Installation is in reverse order of removal, with special attention to the following:

 Install new self-locking nut, and counter-hold using Internal Torx Bit (T40) item - 1 -.

‹› Standard ring spanner inserts (AF 18 mm) can also be used instead of the (V.A.G 1332/10).

Replace locking element after each removal item - 11 - => [ Locking Element ] See: Subframe/Front Subframe/Service and Repair/Subframe,
Stabilizer Bar, Transverse Link, Ball Joint, Level Control System Sensor Assembly Overview.

Align nuts - arrows - according to markings made earlier and tighten.
