Lower front exhaust pipe with catalytic converter and front muffler slightly and remove heat shield toward rear.

-

Reconnect exhaust system with clamping sleeve.

‹› A second technician must be under the vehicle to remove the selector mechanism.

Remove nuts - arrows - (from above).

‹› Ignore items - 1 and 2 -.

Remove selector mechanism downward together with selector lever cable.

‹› Selector lever cable must not be bent or kinked.

‹› Selector mechanism can also be removed without selector lever cable, disconnect selector lever cable from selector mechanism => [ Selector

Installing

‹› Tightening torques => [ Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview ] See: Selector Mechanism Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

‹› Replace selector lever cable securing plate and lock washer.

‹› Selector lever cable must not be bent or kinked.

Install heat shield => Body Interior 66 Removal and Installation.
