Detaching suspension strut from wheel bearing housing go to Fig 1

Detaching suspension strut from wheel bearing housing

Apply special tool 3424 as shown and pry apart wheel bearing housing.

Suspension strut/coil spring, removing and installing 

 Special tools required

T 10001 shock absorber set

VAG 1 752/1 Suspension strut clamp

-

3186 Socket insert 21 mm AF

-

VAG1752/4 Spring retainer

-

3424 Spreader tool

-

V.A.G 1383 A Transmission jack

Removing and installing suspension strut

Remove wheels.
