14 - Wheel hub with rotor for speed sensor

Rotor is welded to wheel hub

Checking rotor for wobble; Refer to Brakes and Traction Control

15 - Retaining clip

Check for proper fit

16 - Wheel bearing

-

Always replace, destroyed during removal

17 - Backing plate
18 - Self - locking nut

-

Tighten to 70 Nm + 1/4 -turn (90°) 

-

Always replace

19 - Lower lateral control arm

-

Allocate various versions refer to Parts Supplier

20 - Lower bushing

-

Check rubber bushing for damage and tears

21 - Hex - bolt, 

-

Tighten to 90 Nm 

-

Always replace

22 - Bonded rubber bushing
23 - Longitudinal control arm
24 - Hex - bolt, 

-

Tighten to 75 Nm 

-

Always replace

25 - Mounting bracket for rear axle

-

After installing, check movement of rear axle, adjust if necessary

-

Can be corrected by sliding mounting bracket

26 - Spacing washer

-

Only installed on vehicles with rough terrain equipment

27 - Stop buffer

-

Tighten to 10 Nm 

Wheel bearings, pressing out and in 

Special tools and equipment

VAG1383A engine/transmission hoist

-

VAG1389A/1 Foot pump with high pressure hose
If available in shop, VAG1389/1 hand pump can also be modified for use as a foot pump.
