Detach coupling links from suspension struts on both sides of vehicle. 

-

Pull spring clip out of retainer and detach brake hose. 

-

Release speed sensor wiring from suspension strut.

-

Unbolt brake caliper from wheel bearing housing.

-

Secure brake caliper to body with wire.

-

Remove brake disc (brake disc is secured to hub with a Phillips - head screw).

-

Remove brake disc splash plate.

-

Remove upper nut on ball joint.

Notes:  To protect ball joint threads, leave nut on a few turns.

-

Install ball joint splitter as shown in illustration and press out ball joint.
