Fuel Filler Hose: Service and Repair

Pressure retention valve

Clipped to fuel filler unit

Closes vent line when vacuum from intake manifold is present

Only remove together with vent line and gravity valve

Installed position: sealing lip faces fuel filler unit

Gravity valve

Only remove together with vent line and pressure retention valve

Checking See Fig. 2.
- To remove, unclip valve upward and lift out.

Ground (GND) connection

- Installed position/check requirements  See Fig. 1 , Refer to "Fuel Tank With Attachments, Component Overview (Front wheel drive )"

Ensure secure fit of connector at metal ring of fuel filler unit

-

Securely tighten eyelet of electrical wire with cap nut See item  -8-.

-

After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using multimeter:
- Specified value: approx. 0 (ohm)

Cap nut - 10 Nm
