Fuel Filler Neck: Service and Repair

Fuel filler tube, component overview

1. Pressure retention valve

Clipped to fuel filler unit

^

Closes vent line when vacuum from intake manifold is present

^

Only remove together with vent line and gravity valve

2. Change-over valve
3. O-rings

^

Different sizes

^

Always replace

4. Seal

^

Installed position: sealing lip faces fuel filler unit

5. O-ring

^

Always replace

6. Gravity valve

^

Only remove together with vent line and pressure retention valve

^

Checking, Refer to Fig. 2

^

To remove, unclip valve upward and lift out.

7. Ground (GND) connection

^

Installed position/check requirements, Refer to Fig. 1

^

Ensure secure fit of connector at metal ring of fuel filler unit

^

Securely tighten eyelet of electrical wire with cap nut,Refer to item - 8 -

^

After installing, check electrical connection of metal ring at fuel filler tube to a blank portion of chassis using multimeter:

^

Specified value: approximately 0 Ohms

8. Cap nut -10 Nm
9. Vent line
