Counterhold at flats on track rod ball joint when loosening and tightening
15 - Combination bolt

Tighten to 100 Nm (74 ft. lbs.) and turn 90° further

Instructions when working on the power assisted steering box
Notes:

Servicing is restricted to replacement of boot and track rods. Absolute cleanliness is required when working on the power assisted steering.
Thoroughly clean connections and immediate vicinity before loosening.

Place parts on a clean surface and cover if not reinstalling immediately.

Do not use fluffy cloth.

Only unpack parts immediately prior to fitting.

Only use genuine packed parts.
-
Do not reuse drained hydraulic fluid.

Always replace O - rings.
Removing
CAUTION: Move steering wheel to center position (wheels straight- ahead) and do not turn while performing repair work, as this could damage the
coil connector for the airbag unit.
