Speaker (Telephone/Navigator) -R39-, Removing And Installing

Hands-free speaker is located below the left defroster vent at front windshield.

Removing

-

The windshield defroster vent -1- cannot be removed damage-free.

-

Pull defroster vent -1 upward, starting at the front.

-

Break off retaining tab -2-.

-

Remove retaining tab -2- by tilting with appropriate pliers.

-

Remove mounting bolts -2- (4x) at hands-free speaker -3-.

-

Remove loudspeaker from insert and disconnect electrical harness connector -4-.

Installing

-

Install in reverse order of removal. The windshield defroster vent must be replaced.
