CAUTION:
-
After unscrewing the bolts -A- at pendulum support, the engine/transmission assembly swings slightly forward.

The seal (arrow) in the flange of the driveshaft must not be damaged. The driveshaft must be replaced if the oil seal is damaged.

Unscrew pendulum support from subframe (arrows -A-).

Carefully push engine/transmission assembly toward front and remove flexible coupling.

Unbolt center heat shield at both front securing points (lower arrows) and swing it down slightly.
NOTE: The bracket for the exhaust system (upper arrows) remains secured.

Unbolt front section of driveshaft from rear section (arrows).

Push front section of driveshaft toward front and swivel it out of rear section of driveshaft.
NOTE: Take care to bend the front section of the driveshaft downward as little as possible when disconnecting it.
