Expansion Valve Insulation, Removing And Installing

Locate insulation over expansion valve as illustrated and press together two halves -A- and -B- until they clip into each other.

NOTE:
-

Depending on engine version, improved access may be obtained by removing front suspension cross brace.

Always ensure the expansion valve insulation is properly in place, and is not damaged.

Due to the thermo-dynamic design of the expansion valve, the operating parameters of the valve are adversely affected when the insulation is
missing or improperly installed. A decrease in cooling efficiency will result.
