Coolant hoses must not be interchanged when installing.

Coolant flow direction is indicated on inlet and outlet tubes of heater core (may or may not be visible when installed, but can be felt).

Heater core configuration with quick-connect coupling version "1":
Coolant hose -A- = supply hose from cylinder head
Coolant hose -B- = return hose to water pump
Coolant flow direction indicated on heater core tubes -C- (visible when installed)

Heater core configuration with quick-disconnect coupling version "2":
Coolant hose -A- = supply hose from cylinder head
Coolant hose -B- = return hose to water pump

Place suitable container under connection -B- and carefully expel coolant from heater core (using compressed air) through connection -A-.

NOTE:

Depending on engine/heater core configuration, pay attention to coolant flow direction through heater core. Only blow thorough heater core in
direction of coolant flow as indicated on heater core inlet and outlet tubes.
