Insert special tool 3424 into slot - arrow -.

Turn ratchet through 90° and detach from 3424.

Pull wheel bearing housing downward off shock absorber tube.

When installing, note the following points in particular: notes and table. 

Refer to notes and table

Clean inner splines of wheel hub.

install new 12-point nut as far as possible.

-

Secure brake caliper to wheel bearing housing.

-

Insert connector and wire for ABS wheel speed sensor in brackets.

-

Lower vehicle, but make sure that wheels do not touch ground yet.

Otherwise the wheel bearing could be subject to excessive load and damaged.

Have a second technician press the brake pedal.

-

Tighten 12-point nut.
