Passenger Side Airbag, Removing And Installing

CAUTION:  Always read updated safety regulations for performing repair work on airbag.

Passenger side airbag unit

-

Removing
-

Disconnect battery Ground (GND) strap.

-

Remove glove box

-

Disconnect connector - 5 -

CAUTION:  Never unplug red two-pin connector at passenger side airbag unit.

-

Remove screws - 3 - (4x).

-

Remove airbag unit.

-

Remove screws - 2 - (4x).

-

Set down airbag unit with impact cushion facing upward.

-

Installing
-

Install airbag unit.

-

Make sure connector - 5 - engages properly (audible click).

-

Switch ignition on.

CAUTION:  Make sure no one is in vehicle when connecting battery.

-

Connect battery Ground (GND) strap.

Screws (4x)
-

Tightening torque 12 Nm

-

Must be replaced if airbag has been triggered
