After installation of the steering column, the steering angle sensor G85 must be readjusted.

Note:  Insert the bearing bushing in the new steering column and tighten the shear bolt until the head shears off.

Bearing bushing

Insert steering column with bearing bushing into central tube - arrow A -.

-

Push through hex bolt for bearing bushing from right side.

-

Secure steering column with new bolts - 2 -.

-

Tighten nut - 1 - to 9.5 Nm.

Pull out transport lock - arrow B -.

-

Push universal joint onto steering pinion and secure with new bolt - 1 -, to 30 Nm.

-

Install universal joint cover/footrest.

-

Connect connector for ignition/starter lock and immobilizer.
