Steering Angle Sensor: Removal and Replacement

Return spring with slip ring and steering angle sensor G85, removing and installing 

Driver-side airbag and steering wheel removed.

Pull steering column all the way out and down.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - (2x). Tightening torque: 2.8 Nm

Remove handle - 2 -.

-

Remove two phillips-head screws - arrows -.

-

Tightening torque: 0.6 Nm.

Remove upper trim on steering column switch - 1 -.

To install, insert upper section into the retainers on lower section, swing down and secure with screws.

Remove screws - 2 - (2x). Tightening torque: 0.6 Nm

-

Remove hex bolt - 1 -.

-

Tightening torque: 0.6 Nm.

-

Remove lower trim on steering column switch - 3 -.
