Reading for gear oil temperature is shown in display zone - 1 -.
Checking and correcting gear oil level
CAUTION! The filler hose, funnel and filler adapter VAS6262 must be clean; the gear oil must not be mixed with any other oil types.

Shift selector lever into "P" position, apply parking brake.

Start engine and let it idle.

Press and hold brake pedal.

With brake pressed, select all gear positions "P, R, N, D, S" one after another at idling speed, maintaining each position for at least 3 seconds.

Drive vehicle onto a four-column hoist or over an inspection pit in order for it to be absolutely horizontal.

Remove center sound insulation fasteners - 1... 3 -.
CAUTION! When working close to the radiator always maintain a safe distance from the fan - danger of injury! The fan may switch on
automatically.

Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 under transmission.
CAUTION!

Wear protective gloves (acid resistant).
