Gear oil pump, removing and installing, 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T, AWD 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip tray V.A.G 1306

^

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

^

Safety goggles

Requirements 

^

Engine not running.

CAUTION!  Do not run the engine or tow the vehicle with the cover removed, the gear oil pump removed or when there is no gear oil in the
transmission. 

Note:

Read rules for cleanliness when working on the transmission.

^

General repair instructions.

^

The paper gasket between the gear oil pump and the transmission must always be replaced.

^

The cover for the gear oil pump must always be replaced.

Removing 

-

Remove center sound insulation tray fasteners - 1... 3 -.

-

Place drip tray V.A.G1306 under transmission.
