Drive shaft, installing
Installation is carried out in reverse order of removal, note the following:

Sealing rings in drive shaft flanges - arrow - must not be damaged when removing and installing.

Replace drive shaft if damaged.

Do not cant front and rear drive shaft tube, slide onto corresponding guide pins in horizontal position.
Installation position of rear flexible disc

Three projecting sleeves each on flange for Haldex clutch and on drive shaft flange grip into mounting holes of flexible discs.

Install drive shaft at flange of Haldex clutch so that the markings - arrows - align.
Drive shaft with balancing washers under mounting bolts - arrows -
Note: Any balancing washers present - arrows - must not be installed but rather replaced with washers. See next illustration.
Note:

From 06.99, all drive shafts in the vehicle were weighted additionally in production. Therefore, new mounting bolts and, if necessary, balancing
washers were installed on the Haldex clutch flange - arrows -.

Two of the new mounting bolts can be installed with one balancing washer each. These may not be installed after loosening drive shaft from
Haldex clutch. See next illustration.

The new mounting bolts have a 12-point socket head.
