Apply sealant - arrow - to clean oil pan sealing surface as shown in illustration.

‹› Thickness of sealant bead: 2 mm.

CAUTION!
Risk of plugging oil pump strainer with excess sealant.

‹› Do not apply sealant bead thicker than indicated.

‹› Be especially careful when applying sealant bead in area of timing chain lower cover.

‹› Oil pan must be installed within 5 minutes of applying sealant.
