Remove the ESP Sensor Unit (G419) - A -.

Loosen the vehicle wiring harness mountings - B - (for example, the cable tie - C -) on the left side of the A/C unit (heater).

Remove both screws - A - on the wiring harness bracket - B -

Disconnect the connector - C -.

Remove condensation drain from A/C unit. Refer to=> [ Condensation Water Drain Hose, Checking ] See: Evaporator Drain Tube/Testing and
Inspection.

Loosen the remaining vehicle wiring harness fasteners (for example, with cable ties) on the top of the A/C unit.

On vehicles with an electric auxiliary heater (diesel vehicles only), disconnect wire connections to voltage supply of Auxiliary Air Heater Heating
Element (Z35).

Disconnect all electrical connections between vehicle wiring harness and the A/C unit (heater) electrical components at connectors.
‹› The wiring harness "Air Conditioner" / "Heater" is removed with the A/C unit (heater).

Carefully pull the A/C unit (heater) on the right side slightly to the rear until it is possible to remove the screw - B - on the right bracket - A -.
