Digital Compass, Calibrating

It is necessary to calibrate the compass if:

-

Compass directions are not correct,

-

a "C" appears in compass display instead of a direction or nothing appears at all.

The compass may also need to be calibrated in exception situations, such as if:

-

the vehicle battery is reconnected after being disconnected for an extended period,

-

a new audio system or audio system component was installed.

-

Switch on ignition.

A "C" must appear in compass display - 1 -.

-

If "C" does not appear, press and hold button - 2 - at least 9 seconds until a "C" appears in compass display - 1 -.

-

Drive in a circle two to three times at about 5 m.p.h.(10 km/h) until a direction is shown in compass display - 1 -.

-

Ensure inside mirror automatic dimming function is activated again after completing calibration.

-

Switch off ignition.
