Fluid - M/T: Service and Repair
Manual Transmission Gear Oil Level, Checking
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required
‹› Triple square socket driver (3357)
‹› Drip tray for VAS 6100 (VAS 6208)
The manual transmission and bevel box have separate supplies.
Check axle oil in bevel box => [ Axle Oil in Bevel Box, Filling ] See: Fluid - Transfer Case/Service and Repair/Procedures/Axle Oil in Bevel Box,
Filling.

Drive vehicle onto a 4-column hoist or over a service pit so that it is level.

Remove noise insulation fasteners - 1 through 4 -.

Place Drip Tray (VAS 6208) under manual transmission.

Remove oil filler plug - arrow - in manual transmission.
‹› Specified value: The fluid level must reach lower edge of filler opening.

Add gear oil if necessary.

Install bolt - arrow - with new sealing ring.
