CAUTION!
The heat gun, shear bolts, and parts of the protective housing will become extremely hot. Use extreme caution when working with or
handling these parts to avoid personal injury.
‹› The threads of the shear bolts have been coated with a locking compound and must be heated to be removed.
‹› Heat only the shear bolts that are not installed in the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623).

Using a Heat gun set at its lowest setting, heat the shear bolts- arrows - for approx. 20 to 25 seconds.

Remove the shear bolts - arrow - with locking pliers. Discard the used shear bolts.

Remove the protective housing - 1 - from the Engine Control Module (ECM) (J623).
