Bag Systems/Air Bag/Service Precautions.

‹› Follow safety precautions for front side airbag crash sensors (pressure sensors). Refer to => [ Front Side Airbag Crash Sensors Safety

Precautions ] See: Service Precautions.

Clamp off ground wire at battery with ignition switched off.

Remove door trim. Refer to => [ Door Trim ] See: Body and Frame/Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door Panel/Service and
Repair/Door Trim. 

CAUTION!
‹› Before handling belt tensioner units (e.g. disconnecting electrical connector), the person handling it must "discharge static electricity

". This can be done by touching door striker, for example.

Disconnect electrical connector - 4 - on side airbag crash sensor.

-

Remove bolts - 1 - and - 3 - on side airbag crash sensor.

-

Remove respective side airbag crash sensor - 2 -. 

Installation

To install, perform the steps used in removal in reverse order. Observe the following when doing so:
