Cut cable tie - arrow - for protective boot -  1 -.

-

Disconnect the electrical connector - 2 -.

-

Fold protective boot back and remove B+ wire from starter solenoid switch.

-

Remove ground wire - 3 -.

CAUTION!
Risk of destroying control module with static discharge.

‹› Do not touch contacts in transmission connector with hands.

-

To discharge static, touch vehicle ground with hand (while not wearing gloves).

-

Disconnect electrical connector - 4 - on transmission by turning twist lock counterclockwise.

-

Remove lower starter bolt (accessible from above).

-

Remove upper starter bolt and remove starter.

Installing

‹› Tightening specifications, refer to=> [ Starter Assembly Overview ] See: Starter Assembly Overview.

Install in reverse order of removal, observing the following:

Install bracket for upper and lower parts of air filter.
