Lightly oil outer circumference of new shaft seal.

Fill the space between the sealing and dust lip - arrow - half way with sealing grease.

Drive in shaft seal as far as stop using 60 mm diameter tube (VW 423), do not cant while doing this.
‹› Closed side of seal - arrow - faces toward outside.

Position selector shaft lever on selector shaft and tighten - arrow -.
