Shifter M/T: Adjustments

Shift Mechanism, Adjusting

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Locking pin (T10027)

‹› or

‹› Locking pin (T10027 A)

Adjustment requirements

‹› Operating and transfer elements of shift mechanism must be in proper condition.

‹› Shift mechanism must move freely.

‹› The transmission, clutch and clutch mechanism must be in proper condition. 

‹› Transmission in neutral position.

Adjusting

-

Open ashtray.

-

Carefully pry trim from center console - arrows -. 

-

Lift trim up over shift knob.

-

Move shift lever in neutral position toward left in gate of 1st/2nd gear.

-

Raise noise insulation plate and secure shift lever with Connecting Pin (T10027) or (T10027 A).
