Oil level in Haldex clutch, checking
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Torque wrench V.A.G 1331

^

Drip tray for VAS 6100 VAS 6208

^

Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051 or Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5052

^

Diagnostic cable, 3 m with power supply 3 m VAS 5051/1 or Diagnostic cable, 5 m without power supply VAS 5051/3

Requirements

Final drive must be in installation position to check oil level.

-

Connect Vehicle Diagnostic, Testing and Information System VAS 5051.

-

Select "Vehicle Self-Diagnosis" on display.

-

Select "22 - All Wheel Drive Electronics" on display.

-

Select "08 - Read Measuring Value Block" on display.

-

Select "Measured Value Block 2" on display.

-

Read oil temperature in display field 2.

^

Oil temperature must be 20 to 40 degrees C.

Oil temperature can be obtained by driving vehicle to warm it. Oil fill and drain plug must be tightened when doing so.
