Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair

Wiper linkage & wiper motor, removing

CAUTION:  Do not loosen or remove 13 mm A/F nut from wiper motor crank.

Pry off linkage rod -3- from ball joint -arrow-.

-

Remove bolts (10 mm A/F) -2- from wiper motor bracket.

-

Remove wiper motor -1 - from bracket.

Installing

-

Bolt wiper motor -1 - onto wiper motor bracket together with crank.

-

Engage linkage rod -3- again, adjusting end position of linkage at -a-.

-

Reconnect electrical connection to wiper motor.

-

Insert wiper frame (wiper motor first) into plenum.

-

Tilt wiper frame forward and bolt in position (5 Nm).

The remaining steps for installing are the same as for removing but in the reverse sequence.

Set wiper blades to park position.
