Oil Pan: Service and Repair

Sump, removing and installing 

Special tools and equipment required

Electric drill with plastic brush attachment

^

Safety goggles

^

Silicone sealant

Removing 

-

Remove fasteners -1... 3- and remove center sound insulation.

-

Remove right sound insulation (arrows).

-

Drain engine oil.

-

Disconnect connector at Oil level thermal sensor -G266-.

-

Remove bolts -1- and -2- and remove secondary air injection pump with bracket -A-.

-

Unscrew sump/transmission bolts.

-

Unscrew securing bolts for sump in diagonal sequence.

-

Take off sump. If necessary, loosen sump by striking lightly with a rubber hammer.
