Heater Core: Service and Repair
Heater Core, Removing And Installing

Remove heating and A/C unit.

Remove screws -C-.

Depress tabs -B- and pull (lift) heater core -A- from housing.
Notes on installing:

When installing heater core, always secure it in the heater flap housing with two suitable screws -C- (e.g. self-tapping screws, 3.2 x 20 mm). This
also applies even if the heat exchanger was originally only clipped in place.

The heater core is installed in the heater flap housing without an all-round seal.

Replace seal -A- and ensure it is properly seated against contact surface -C-.

Reattach coolant hoses according to coolant flow direction indicated on heater core. Reference heater core/coolant flow configurations.
