Wheel Speed Sensor: Removal and Replacement

ABS Wheel Speed Sensor Wire, Replacing
Note:

Always use Wiring Harness Repair Kit VAS 1978 for repairs on wiring harnesses and connectors.
Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Wiring harness repair kit VAS 1978
Removing
-
Remove wheel housing liner.

Release connector on wheel speed sensor and disconnect wiring.

Remove interior side panel trim.
-
Pull insulating grommet (arrow) off wiring connection.
-
Cut speed sensor wiring with Wire Strippers VAS1978/3 and remove defective wiring.
Installing
Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:
