Oil Seal For Flange Shaft (Left Side), Replacing

Oil seal for flange shaft (left side), replacing, 02E, 6 Speed Direct Shift A/T, AWD 

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

Drip tray V.A.G 1306

Thrust piece 3305

Removing 

It is possible to replace the oil seals without removing the transmission.

Note:

General repair instructions.

Remove left axle shaft.

-

Place drip tray V.A.G 1306 under transmission.

-

Remove countersunk bolt for flange shaft; use a drift to prevent turning. (Bolt must be replaced).

-

Pull out flange shaft and spring.

-

Pry out oil seal with assembly lever.

Installing 

Perform installation in reverse sequence of removal. Note the following:
