Tighten bolts - 1 - to - 10 - finger tight.

Tighten bolts in sequence - 1 - to - 10 - to 5 Nm plus 90° further (90° equals one quarter of a turn).

Secure wire to retainers - arrows -.

Plug in connector - A -.
-
Clean gasket and sealing surfaces and remove any oil residue.

Replace O-rings - B - on 20-pin connector for Direct Shift Gearbox (DSG) Mechatronic -J743-.

Lubricate O-rings - B - lightly with gear oil.

Install oil pan.

Connect battery.

Follow steps required after connecting battery.

Fill with gear oil Gear oil, changing or filling after repairs.

Perform basic setting using vehicle diagnostic, testing and information system VAS 5051.
